Sorry, my adoring fans, for not blogging in so long. It's on my list of things to do nearly everyday. Steve's going to help me be accountable for updating at least weekly. Wed. seems like a good day...or Friday after my walk...anyway, I do this all for YOU so you can 'be' with Charles as he grows and I apologize for my inconsistency.
Here's what's been going on:
Octoberfest--October is birthday month in my family...well my 'family of origin.' Today is my dad's birthday, tomorrow is mine and Sat. is my younger sister's.
Here's Charles on Oct. 10th--his FOUR MONTH BIRTHDAY.

In case you didn't notice...he's playing a lot more! You remember last post, him grabbing the rattle? Well his grabbing is much more intentional and controlled now. He reaches out, grabs and, this is funny, either pulls or grunts in an attempt to pull... but instead his feet kick! It's really cute when he does that.
He LOVES looking at himself in the mirror. It always puts a smile on his face.

Who knew
cleaning could be so much fun??! My friend, Kim, that's who. I left Charles off with her last week so I could go tutor and upon my return she had vacuumed and started dinner for her family with Charles on her back in a backpack thing she had from the 'old days.' (Her kids are 4 & 7 now.) I said "Hey, someone gave us one of those but Charles couldn't hold his head up at the time so I put it up in the attic and forgot about it!" Down it came. Oh! Clean floors at last! They were pretty gross...now I just have to train Charles to hold a broom and get all the cobwebs up in the corners while I get the floors...we'll make a great team!

I pick up Clay from school at around 3pm and there isn't a whole lot to do for a couple of hours. He's in a peck of trouble at the moment so he's restricted from video entertainment for quite a while. Usually, I save some errands because he is SUCH a big help to me. He's the strong silent type (kind of like his dad...KIND of, Steve's the strong outspoken type...but strong nonetheless LOL) I know his twin sister, Stacey, is laughing at that one. So, as a little respite I suggested we go for a walk one day. We went about 2 miles, the LONG way to the park (which is just around the corner from our house! Probably about 1/4 mile.) Clay spends the most time with Charles as Tomas has school and work, Caleb has school and football but Clay currently only has school. That may change when wrestling starts up. But anyway, here's Clay being a good big brother and showing Charles the ropes.

This one's funny because I wanted you to see how he sort of just sits in the bucket swing like he was poured in, like batter. Yummy baby batter! Sorry, I still go all soft and mushy over him sometimes.
I hope you had fun perusing today's entry.
I now get to keep track of all of you too! See that little map in the top left corner? It shows a little dot whenever someone visits my blog...even by accident--which I'm sure the Italian is. It was exciting to see, we'll have to see if they log on regularly. Unless, Pulglia is near Sardinia, where my cousin has a house...hmmm.
